Internship starting from January 2025 for 6 months
We are looking for a Backend engineer intern to join our Payment Engineering team who’s in charge of worldwide payments processed by Deezer.
Our main missions are the following :
Allow users to subscribe to Deezer with all existing payment methods
Ensure that recurring payments processing are working correctly
Provide support to customer care team on payment issues
Configure offers correctly according to company strategy
Deezer payment platform in figures :
80k payments processed per day
Used in more than 200 countries in the world
Handling more than 10 different payment methods
With such high volumes, it’s crucial to have adapted tools to be able to monitor processes and handle errors efficiently when needed. This is why we need you ! Your role will be to build adapted tools to improve team efficiency on issues investigation and resolution.
What you will do:
Learn about Deezer’s subscription lifecycles (Google / iOS / Cards) and challenges that we are facing
Work closely with the whole team to better understand their needs
Design solutions to propose to the team and implement it
Implement new APIs on Payment platform
Integrate payment features to Deezer’s BackOffice
Care about the quality and the stability of the code you write (best practices, unit tests,...)
This role is excellent for a person with:
You are currently enrolled in your last year or have just graduated with a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering
Passion for Software Engineering
Experience in PHP Backend development and SQL
Comfortable working in French & English
Strong communication skills with a proactive and autonomous approach
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team
Additional skills that we value:
Experience with Symfony framework and Git is a plus
