What we are looking for
As an experienced Backend Developer, you will be a trusted consultant providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design.
You are capable of tech leading a project from inception, establishing an appropriate architecture for the constraints of the project and defining the standards for others to develop from. As an effective team member, you play an active role in mentoring other developers.
In your project work, you are tasked with proactively identifying risks, technology limitations and proposing solutions. Ultimately, you will use your authority and excellent communication skills to influence the wider business and client relationships, having an impact beyond their immediate project.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements provide guidance on limitations on technology, and design solutions throughout projects
- Research and review existing software and advise customers on issues and improvements
- Develop software on the AWS cloud platform using TypeScript and node.js
- Setup and effectively use continuous integration and delivery tooling and processes to deliver software
- Provide reporting and documentation regarding solution design and project updates
- Support pre-sales activity to aid in the winning of new workShare knowledge within the organisation and with the broader software community
- Support the hiring process through technical interviewing
- Efficiently develops quality, high level code for complex features in a well-structured and organised object oriented way, that meets project requirements, coding conventions and achieves well engineered results
- Write testable and well tested code with high quality and comprehensive test cases
- Plays an active role mentoring and supporting other developers, leads reviews of colleagues work
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the compromises of different architectural approaches
- Advanced understanding of supporting tools and processes such as git and continuous delivery.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members across UX, other domain developers and QA throughout each project
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and represent CI&T in a positive and professional manner
Ideal Knowledge and Experience
- A passion for delivering exceptional technical solutions and customer experiences
- Outstanding consulting skills, with strong negotiation and influencing skills with customers
- Experience working with .NET and C# or node.js, and TypeScript
- Experience working with Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation
- Experience working with AWS, or Microsoft Azure
- Experience leading a small team in an Agile environment
- Experience automating the software development lifecycle
- The ability to lead a team of software engineers in the development of a solution
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience
