As RGS Backend Developer, you actively participate in developing a remote game server. Together with Solution Architect and Product Owner, you are translating user stories into technical effort. Being an engineer first, you put much attention into engineering topics. HOW is equally essential as WHAT, and delivering non-functional requirements is vital. You advocate for code quality, and you demonstrate good engineering practices that other people can adopt.
As a Backend Developer:

- You will be responsible for feature and platform development.

- You will share the responsibility to deliver with other team members.
- You will help and support other team members to achieve their goals and objectives.
YOUR PROFILE:
Required:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Software Development.

Excellent knowledge and experience in Java (concurrency and multithreading, functional and reactive programming, performance analysis, security).
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, design patterns.
- Experience with maintaining a large-scale and fault-tolerant distributed system.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Experience with containerized application management.
- Experience in a microservice architecture.
- A personal interest in keeping up with the general trends of software product development.
- Working in agile development teams.
Desirable:
- Experience with remote game server technologies.
- Hands-on experience with test-driven development and automated testing.
- Experience with Java frameworks (SpringBoot, Quarks are a plus).
- Hands-on experience with document-oriented databases (MongoDB/DocumentDB is a plus), relational databases (MySQL/RDS is a plus), and message brokers/streaming platforms (RabbitMQ, Kafka are a plus).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS is a plus).
