Back-End SNR Software Engineer

You will enjoy becoming part of a team of open-minded people, well specialized in designing, developing and optimizing products and solutions for the high-tech and strongly regulated domain of electronic financial transactions, where we deal with almost all commercial banks and major financial institutions in our area. Your role will be to participate in the analysis, design, development, functional extension, implementation and highly specialized support and consultancy related to our company’s software products. You will be writing code in project related teams lead by technical leads and will be involved in project analysis meetings internally and with external stakeholders.

The position belongs to the POSApplications Development team, which is part of our Professional Services dept.

The main areas of interest targeted will be applications for POS managment.

Printec is official local partner of well-known POS and ATM manufacturer brands (NCR Corp., Verifone, Castles) and develops customized end-user applications, mostly in .Net / C#, C++ and Android. A certain collaboration is set up with colleagues form another of our teams, POS and Servers, with whom we work to ensure integration of some specific client – server applications, such as: Remote Key Management and Terminal Management / Monitoring Servers for instance.

Those positions will work as a team or individually and will report to the team supervisor, to project managers or to the technical director.

Our clientele comprises mostly commercial banks and other types of financial institutions.

Main tasks:

• Development, testing and deployment of new features;
• Offer production support (when needed);
• Client interaction (good English knowledge, both written and spoken, is a must);
• Guide and educate medium and junior developers in the domain-specific aspects and product lifecycle;
• Able to work both independently and with other team members;
• Confident in proposing technical solutions and following them through;
• Willing to provide technical guidance & do code reviews for other team members;
• Able to take full ownership of a certain feature (from design to deployment to production);
• Open to learning and applying new technologies.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of Web APIs, .Net Framework 4.5+/ .NET Core/ ASP.NET/ MVC, C#;
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks;
• Good knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL;
• Good communication skills and the ability to take part in both team debates as well as client discussions;
• The ability to work well as part of a team using waterfall and/or agile methodology;
• Very good command of spoken and written English.
• Desirable skills:
• Good knowledge and experience in banking and capital markets domain - nice to have
• Knowledge of Node.js – nice to have
• Good understanding of the software design principles;
• The ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
