WHAT IS YOUR ROLE
As a Back End Developer within our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server side components of our digital solutions, with a strong focus on CMS systems. Collaborating with Front End Developers, Dynamics Developers, Data Analysts, and DevOps Engineers, you will ensure the seamless integration of web applications with our middleware, database systems, and CMS. Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will play a vital role in delivering robust and scalable digital solutions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Be an advocate through active involvement in promotional and marketing activities and through broader networking and introductions.
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using C# .NET, with a strong emphasis on CMS systems, particularly Umbraco.
- Collaborate with Front End Developers to integrate front-end components with back-end systems and CMS.
- Implement RESTful APIs for communication between front-end and back-end services.
- Work on data modeling and database design using SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement CI/CD pipelines for back-end and CMS code deployment.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug back-end and CMS issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of applications.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to understand project requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Front End Developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end components and deliver a unified user experience.
- Adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines to ensure maintainability, readability, and scalability of the back-end codebase.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging back-end technologies, CMS systems, and industry trends to recommend improvements and optimizations.

YOU HAVE…
- Proven experience as a back-end developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in C# .NET and .NET Core for server-side development.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with SQL Server or similar relational database management systems.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including secure coding techniques, data protection, and authentication mechanisms, to develop robust and secure back-end systems.
- Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of and integration with CMS systems, preferably Umbraco
