As an Azure Automation Engineer you can expect to…
- Design, implement, and manage automation solutions leveraging Azure's advanced services to optimize workflows, enhance scalability, and ensure operational excellence
- Design and implement automation solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub, PowerShell, and Azure CL
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates (ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform) to automate resource provisioning
- Configure and manage Azure Resource Manager to deploy and manage Azure resources
- Automate routine tasks, such as VM provisioning, network configuration, and security group creation
- Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Azure deployments
- Monitor existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities and provide technical expertise and hands-on guidance during solution implementation

- Working cross-functionally with the team to streamline cloud operations, improve system efficiency, and enhance scalability, ensuring high availability of cloud services
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Understanding of Azure security best practices, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management (Azure AD).
- Collaborating with clients to assess business needs and design tailored automation strategies
- Multitasking, being flexible & paying close attention to detail
- Solution testing and quality control in a highly collaborative team environment
- Resolving client conflicts and/or escalated issues while maintaining composure in a stressful situation
- Staying up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and best practices, learning new concepts quickly and thoroughly

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or system automation roles
- Prior experience in designing and managing automation workflows in Azure environments
- Strong understanding of Azure core services, including compute, storage, networking, and security
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Azure CLI
- Experience with Azure Resource Manager templates and Bicep
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code principles
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with strong client-facing skills and the ability to guide clients through challenging problems
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing consulting roles interacting with IT-leaders, product owners, C-level, Executive Sponsors, and business users
- The drive and self-sufficiency to work independently, translate goals into action, own the success of your area of work, support and seek support from colleagues when needed
