Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Sr. Architect to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions on the AWS platform for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of AWS services, strong business acumen, and experience in developing cloud strategies, including architecture design, migration, security, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Design: Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available applications on AWS. Create architectural blueprints and guide teams in implementing best practices.
- Cloud Strategy Development: Collaborate with enterprise clients to understand their business objectives and develop custom cloud strategies and roadmaps.
- Solution Implementation: Lead the implementation of cloud-native solutions, such as serverless applications, containerization, microservices, and database migration to AWS.
- Client Engagement & Consultation: Provide technical leadership during project discovery and solution definition phases. Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients on best practices for AWS usage.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security policies and standards while implementing cloud infrastructure. Incorporate security best practices and mitigate risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for automation and operational efficiency improvements. Recommend changes to processes and AWS technologies to enhance performance.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with software developers, system engineers, and other stakeholders. Mentor and upskill junior team members on AWS technologies and architecture.
- Technical Leadership: Provide thought leadership by staying current on AWS updates and industry trends, sharing knowledge within the organization and externally.
- Troubleshooting: Oversee performance tuning and troubleshoot operational and production issues in AWS environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must have at least 1 AWS Associate or Professional Certification.
- 7 years of experience in IT architecture and systems integration.
- 3 years of experience in architecting solutions on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with key AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, and Route 53.
- Proficiency in designing and deploying infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Proven experience with at least 2 AWS AI services (Amazon Comprehend, Lex, Rekognition, Polly, Textract, Translate, Transcribe), ideally in conjunction with customer experience and engagement
- Knowledge in legacy contact center’s and IVR’s, with associated business tooling (Avaya, Genesys)
- Hands-on keyboard AWS implementation experience across a broad range of AWS services, with deeper capabilities and interests in specific services.
- Scripting capability and the ability to develop AWS environments as code
- Public cloud automaton tooling and scripting experience – CFN, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins
- Strong understanding of security, networking, and cloud-based identity and access management in AWS environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proven experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (EKS). Lead customer discovery and design sessions using AWS Cognitive CX suite
- Design, Solution, and Implement AWS solutions focused on customer experience and customer engagement
- Develop PoCs, prototypes, demonstrations and assets
- Work with cross functional teams to bring best practices and assets to the development teams
- Interact with management and C-Levels.
