Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the design, develop, and maintanenance of AWS cloud-based applications and services for a DoD client.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud-based applications and services
- Implement and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure using approved, in-region services
- Write, test, and debug scalable and efficient code
- Implement security measures and best practices
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud systems and processes
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (CDK)
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and costs
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery for cloud systems
- Work with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL, etc.
- Optimize application performance
Qualifications
- Active DoD TS/SCI with Poly
- Proficiency with Python programming and experience using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tasks.
- Experience with Windows operating systems in cloud or enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Managed Active Directory (AD) services for identity management and access control.
- Experience implementing and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
- Security+ certification, demonstrating knowledge of foundational security principles and practices.
- Experience with networking concepts and protocols, including network configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Experience working with AWS clients.
