Position Summary:

Global Atlantic is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Lead Art Director, to join the Marketing team and be responsible for overseeing the visual direction and execution of all content and communications. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, designs, and delivers high-impact creative solutions that drive brand consistency, customer engagement, and business growth. The AVP, Lead Art Director combines strategic thinking with strong leadership skills to guide a team of art directors, ensuring excellence across all touchpoints including digital, print, video, social media, and collateral.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and execution of compelling, cohesive visual concepts that align with the company’s brand strategy and marketing objectives.    
  • Manage and mentor a team of art directors, providing direction, feedback, and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.    
  • Partner across marketing, including digital, and product teams to create integrated campaigns that resonate with target audiences and support business goals.    
  • Oversee the design and production of all marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and delivering exceptional quality across multiple platforms and mediums in a timely manner.    
  • Present creative concepts to senior leadership and other stakeholders, articulating the strategic rationale behind design decisions.    
  • Collaborate with external vendors, photographers, illustrators, and agencies to execute campaigns when necessary.    
  • Provide creative solutions to complex business challenges, balancing innovation with practical execution.

Candidates Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in art direction or design, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role, ideally within an in-house marketing team.    
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of successful projects, demonstrating expertise in visual storytelling, typography, layout, and branding.    
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and project management tools.   
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.    
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.    
  • Experience in a B2B or financial services environment.    
  • Familiarity with video production and motion graphics.   
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and design best practices for digital platforms.
