Role: AV Event Technician

Location: New York

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000, the opportunity to work on-site at a blue chip global company, plus benefits including: health, life, vision/dental insurance; disability, vacation, sickness, 401K, commuter benefits & employee assistance program

Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours/week) – hours will fall between 7am – 6pm on shift basis, plus overtime would be available. Hours may change depending on AV support requirements

Interview Process: 2-stages (one via Teams and the second in person)

Now we have an exciting opportunity for a proven Audio Visual Technician to join us, working on our prestige customer site, within a highly collaborative and talented team.

Working as the AV Event Technician you will provide AV and VC technical support across all meeting rooms and event spaces on the client’s site. The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors to provide a first class support service.

 

Key responsibilities:

·       Run AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphone battery levels etc.

·       Work closely with Event Managers to develop best practices and team training

·       Liaise with clients for large/global events; understand requirements, attend pre-production meetings & provide primary support

·       Own event experiences for the meeting host / attendees and manage the high profile events and become a trusted advisor

·       Perform preventative maintenance on AV systems

·       Carry out video conference software updates 

·       Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems; investigating faults

·       Ensure multi-media/presentation rooms are maintained in good working order

·       Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly

·       Undertake proactive maintenance to ensure all AV equipment is of the highest standard and functioning correctly

·       Assist with first line fault repairs
