We are currently seeking an experienced Auxiliary Engineer in support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The position will provide subject matter expertise in vehicle auxiliary systems, including integration and testing of systems such as Bilge, Fuel, Heating, Ventilation, and Automatic Fire Extinguishing Systems (AFES). They will collaborate with government and OEM representatives on design changes, performance compliance, and system improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform trade-off studies, engineering plans, risk management, configuration management, interface management, data management, and performance measurements.
- Conduct systems requirements analysis, including requirements development and traceability.
- Perform engineering analysis of hardware configuration, including Size, Weight, Power, and Cooling (SWAP-C) analysis.
- Support vehicle system, subsystem, and component development related to the integration of Auxiliary and AFES systems.
- Provide engineering analysis, design, and testing documentation support for system integration and recommend fixes for Auxiliary Systems and AFES.
- Conduct failure analysis, engineering design review for lifecycle cost reductions, and product change analysis of components and end items.
- Generate and review milestone documentation for new and current technical efforts.
- Participate in requirements management, technology assessments, and design concept evaluations.
- Conduct risk analysis and mitigation for assigned platforms.
- Provide SME support for Auxiliary and AFES systems at Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
Qualifications
- Secret Security Clearance .
- A Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in engineering or a technical field from a college or university.
- A minimum total of ten years experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, or test of DoD systems, including one or more of the following: A minimum of five years experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, and test of ground vehicle systems or a minimum of five years experience in automotive research and integration of ground vehicle systems.
