Automotive Software Development Engineer

  • Developing software in Matlab/Simulink according to the new architecture
  • Creating and testing new software in a MATLAB/Simulink environment
  • Developing existing software solutions based on the demands of the new software structure
  • Designing and developing data transmission via CAN bus between electrical devices
  • Testing and verifying the software on the demo board
  • Supporting the production line during the startup of prototype vehicles
  • Verifying and resolving problems on prototype vehicles using Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape)
  • Integrating new devices into the hardware architecture
  • Creating requirement descriptions for each electrical system installed in the bus (general information about how it works, what is correct/incorrect, how it should be tested... etc.)
  • Assisting with tasks related to current products and developing software solutions in older architectures (checking and developing KIBES32 software, verifying the correct parametrization of buses in terms of the electrical system, i.e., door systems, HVAC, dashboard buttons... etc.)
  • Developing PLC software (FBD, ST language)
  • Adapting controller software to new standards and customer requests
  • Coordinating and modifying the serial version of the software
  • Assessing the feasibility of new customer requests in terms of homologation and time requirements
  • Planning and implementing new technological solutions in city buses
  • Solving production and service problems in software, electrical, and electronics fields, both remotely and directly at customer sites across Europe
  • Providing support to the service department when making software functionality changes in vehicles
  • Developing customer requests in the LogiCad program for the KIBES 32 system, mainly:
    • Functionality of interior and exterior lighting;
    • Functionality of the air conditioning and heating systems;
    • Functionality of the transmission and engine.
  • experience in commercial vehicle software development
  • Matlab/Simulink and Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape, Indigo, etc.) is required;
  • KIBES 32 and ControlDesk is an advantage
  • english fluent
