About the Role:

As an Automation Quality Assurance Engineer at Robusta, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining the quality of our Octopus and Mazadak platforms. Your focus will be on developing automated testing solutions that enhance the reliability and performance of our applications. You will work closely with the development and product teams to ensure that new features meet the highest quality standards before being released to customers.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and executing automated test cases, as well as developing test strategies and frameworks that align with our overall testing goals. You will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to enhance our testing processes.

Duties:

  • Design and implement automated test scripts using relevant automation frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute automated tests, monitor their results, and analyze test failures to identify root causes.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing automated test suite to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing practices and methodologies.
  • Document test plans, test cases, and test results to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior QA engineers on best practices in automation testing.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation testing, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for integrating automation tests into the deployment pipeline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote work environment.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
