As an Automation Engineer II at Viome Life Sciences, located in Bothell, you will play a vital role in our automation department, contributing to the development and optimization of automated processes that are essential to our operations.

Responsibilities
- Expertise in maintaining and optimizing highly complex instrumentation.
- Knowledge of hardware design for laboratory processes.
- Design appropriate hardware layouts for processes.
- Develop and validate pipetting techniques for accuracy, precision, and speed.
- Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve efficiency and throughput.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve errors in automated systems.
- Ability to make recommendations for process continuation and improvements.
- Troubleshoot errors during production, both user errors and instrument failures.
- Make recommendations for production continuation.
- Provide real-time operational support to maintain production processes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) and object-oriented programming.
- Ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot scripts for automated systems.
- Define labware and fluid profiles for automated liquid handling instruments.

- Experience with scripting and/or object-oriented software development.

Qualifications
- Possess at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (chemical, physical, biological, engineering, or clinical laboratory science).
