Automation Engineer

Automation Engineer provides ongoing maintenance, repairs, and support for company’s  BMS and various monitoring systems. Develops and updates guidelines, process description and standard operating procedures for company’s automation systems. Researches and proposes new technologies in Facility Management related automation solutions

  • Timely respond to breakdowns, troubleshooting of issues of different types of machines (motor controls, drivers, controls, and electricals);
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using PLCs, robotics, and other control systems;
  • Create detailed engineering documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals;
  • Develop software and programming for automated systems;
  • Integrate automation solutions with existing HVAC systems;
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues;
  • Lead automation projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget;
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and components;
  • Analyze current processes to identify automation opportunities that can improve efficiency, quality, and safety;
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize automated systems;
  • Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of automated systems;
  • Analyze root causes and develop resolutions to prevent future occurrence of faults;
  • Conduct systems check on regular basis and replace/repair damaged parts of systems, when required;
  • Simulate and test the processes and equipment to ensure they function as desired;
  • Write and submit reports to senior management outlining testing outcomes and ongoing efficiency;
  • Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment and processes;
  • Troubleshoot automated processes and equipment when errors occur;
  • Manage or supervise specialists and sub-contractors working with the company`s implementation of projects on automation systems;
  • Develop recommendations and provide an estimate of the existing process/equipment development and improvement;
  • Provide or organize out of office hours support according to company`s SLAs;
  • Perform other duties, as asked by direct manager;
  • Replace colleagues during their vacations, sick leaves, and other absences.
  • Replacement takes place during working time, and it is not considered as additional work.
  • Special or higher education in electrotechnical engineering;
  • Excellent knowledge of Georgian and English, knowledge of Russian will be considered as an advantage;
  • At least 3 years’ proven experience in automatization design, maintenance, and troubleshooting;
  • Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering tools;
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems;
  • High sense of responsibility;
  • The ability to work in team.
