Automation Engineer - CPA Team (Cortex XDR)

Your Career

We are looking for a highly technical individual to join our Cortex XDR Agent team as a Software Engineer focusing on automated tests and stability. The team builds the foundation of the Cortex XDR endpoint agent, from security modules to server communication and task management. The agent already runs on millions of machines - Windows, Mac and Linux. The team constantly delivers new features and solves real customer issues.

As an engineer focusing on our automation, you will join as an integral member of the development team. You will help us automate our testing and deployment processes, find creative ways to test and prove our features work (or break them apart!), build tools and tests that improve product quality and get involved in the entire development life-cycle, from the design phase up to deployment to real use-cases.

Your Impact

• Participate in full product release cycles, from feature design to version release
• Design and build tests for new features we’re introducing in the product - Our existing framework is Python-based, but challenges may span from writing tests in Python to deep-diving into product code in other languages across our stack
• Help design and build new frameworks to make testing easier and more accessible to developers
• Maintain existing automatic tests and investigate failures

Your Experience  

• At least 2 year of programing experience in Python
• Experience with testing features, building test plans and software validation concepts
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming design concepts
• Skilled in diagnosing and solving complex problems while providing detailed technical analysis
• Ability to find creative solutions to automate manual processes using various technologies and hacks
• A high performer - An individual who demands a high standard and is not afraid to speak out - part of the job would be to clearly communicate errors and imperfections to other team members
• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated tools, and best practices in automation – an advantage
• Security background in general and security programs knowledge in particular – an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Hebrew and English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, work under pressure and maintain focus and a sense of humor
