Attorney

We are seeking an Attorney who will join our client's Legal Team that focuses on employment-based immigration. This role will contribute to supporting high volume U.S. business immigration operations including petition review, I-9, email response support, and ensuring legal compliance with daily filings.

**This is a contract role through June 26, 2025 with possibility of extension. Must be located in the greater Seattle area and willing to work onsite**

Responsibilities:

  • Use U.S. immigration legal knowledge to ensure daily workflow targets are completed and maintain integrity of the onsite case preparation program.
  • Train admins on USCIS filings, USCIS document processing, and PERM job postings, assist with daily admin questions, and review work product to ensure legal accuracy and quality.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and resolution for legal and operational issues.
  • Identify and propose legal process improvement ideas to increase legal quality, improve employee experience, streamline workflow, and build operational resiliency.
  • Complete remote and onsite legal review of filings.
  • Address legal questions that arise related to I-9 completion and E-Verify.
  • Support complex E-Verify issue resolution.
  • Train and monitor admins who support I-9 reverification.
  • Assist managers with understanding PERM requirements and obligations during applicant review
  • Respond to emails from visa dependent employees on topics including visa and green card eligibility, travel, and maintenance of status.

Requirements:

  • Degrees or certifications required – Juris Doctor (JD), a Law Degree from a credible university and admission to the bar is required to be eligible for this role.
  • 1+ year of immigration experience, preferably in employment-based immigration, but will also accept family-based immigration experience.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar Association

Benefits

Compensation Range: $45-47/hr.

**This pay range is Client-specific for the opening advertised. The identity of the Client will be disclosed if you are selected to move forward in the hiring process.
