Our Atlassian Practice is focused on delivering quality solutions using the Atlassian suite to our customers.   We are a leading partner of Atlassian in Australasia holding the Platinum partner status.  We require a Presales technical specialist to operate at the front of the sales pipeline assisting in winning work.   We require high calibre and proven performers that can blend well with our team and engage our customers to bring insight and solutions to add value to their business.   

About the Role

The role spans Australia and New Zealand and is unique in that it offers scope for business development and pre-sales activities.  As an Atlassian Presales Specialist, you will work collaboratively with Sales, Account Management, Technical Domains and Customers to understand our client’s business requirements, and match those needs with the Atlassian range.  

You will act as a Champion for Atlassian, building our profile in the market and driving our sales process, leveraging Datacom’s sales teams.  You will also be actively involved in presenting to and meeting with our clients and prospects.  In the Presales Specialist domain, you will be exposed to technical disciplines as well as a solid understanding of business and service management principles.

This position can be based from our Datacom offices in Sydney or Melbourne.

What you'll do

As the Atlassian Presales Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop , facilitate, and engage in additional business growth opportunities for Datacom
  • Connect with clients, prospects and the Datacom sales teams to provide presales support and expertise
  • Actively engaging with Atlassian to build our partnership and practice.
  • Develop client relationships and translate business requirements into propositions
  • Assist the sales staff in assessing potential application of Atlassian products to meet customer needs and may prepare proposals for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in bid or tender engagements
  • Apply in-depth Atlassian product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations

 

What you'll bring

You'll have over 5 years' IT experience preferably with the Atlassian product range or experience with completing work on management tools such as monday.com etc. Having relevant pre-sales roles with proven experience will act as an advantage, such as DevOps sales. You will be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to articulate and critically evaluate customer-specific business needs and solutions in a customer facing role. Holding a relevant Atlassian Certification will be beneficial.
