Associate VFX Production Supervisor

Requirements

  • Creates a schedule for all phases of production and helps assign 2D and 3D artists to the work
  • Helps create and maintain task assignments for the teams; anticipates potential staffing changes based on development or creative shifts through the show
  • Maintains and publishes information regarding client notes and changes in planned work for Supervisors and artists
  • Provides support to VFX and show supervisors as needed
  • Helps supervise the task assignments and priorities for the 2D and 3D teams
  • Manages daily digital resource utilization and acts as the primary contact on the production team regarding the allocation of show resources; communicates daily with the team regarding changes to priorities, etc.
  • Highly proficient with Flow Production Tracking and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Previous experience working in VFX Production on high-budget film and/or episodic projects.
  • Possess strong written & verbal communication. 
  • Possess a strong project management ability and apply it to managing departments throughout the life of a show. 
  • Demonstrate organisational skills and a strong attention to detail. 
  • Hold strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Lead team meetings, driving actions and resolutions, holding to account members of the team to ensure delivery. 
  • Excellent at conflict resolution and utilize negotiation skills. 
  • Exhibit team leadership and strong motivational qualities. 
  • Work to understand the wants and needs of all studio based show teams to help prioritise workloads on a short and long-term basis. 
  • Lead the team with a positive approach to work with a strong work ethic and team approach (across the whole of Pixomondo). 
  • Working with the Head of Resourcing and Head of Production, facilitate meetings with the Department Supervisors to keep the crew informed of the studio and show changes and requirements. 
  • Ensure open lines of communication between all departments and shows. 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada. 

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $71,000 to $75,000 CND. Individual salaries within this range will be dependent upon skills, experience, and qualifications.
