Associate Technical Program Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Technical Program Manager to join our tight-knit, high-performance team in Shenzhen. As an Associate TPM, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting customer projects, coordinating deployments, managing relationships, and contributing to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Customer Deployment Experience: You will collaborate closely with renowned electronics brands such as Meta, Bose, Cisco, and SolarEdge, and contribute to delivering their iconic products. You will act as an expert in customer build schedules and business priorities, serving as a liaison with Contract Manufacturers to ensure smooth implementation and efficient data extraction from the factory to the Instrumental platform.
  • Provide Direct Support to Customers and Their Manufacturing Partners: Act as the face of Instrumental to customer operations teams and their critical manufacturing partners to maximize the value of Instrumental’s technology. Address customer queries and issues with timeliness and professionalism using JIRA Service Management. You will travel across the APAC region as necessary to support implementation efforts and ensure the performance of our products.
  • Deliver on Assigned Projects: Effectively manage all assigned project requirements and ensure timely task completion, utilizing project management tools for seamless collaboration with project leads. Oversee external and internal project tasks and timelines, collaborating with customers and Instrumental cross-functional teams to achieve our objectives.
  • Facilitate Logistical Operations: Collaborate with the internal operations team to ensure logistics priorities, such as export compliance, are met for the efficient transfer of manufacturing and other critical equipment worldwide. 
  • Drive User Platform Engagement: Act as an expert in utilizing Instrumental’s platform to enhance customer product development, drive user engagement, and troubleshoot when issues arise. You will also lead platform training sessions for implementation and ongoing support. 
  • Deliver Presentations: Give effective presentations to internal and external audiences, including topics such as an overview of Instrumental’s implementation process, key statistics from customer use of the platform, and other critical messages based on business needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Follow operational guidelines and procedures with meticulous attention to detail. Proactively leverage your learnings on the job to propose and drive continuous operational improvement throughout our organization.
  • Provide Cross-team Support: As there is a business need, proactively engage across teams to ensure that Instrumental can meet its objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and English.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in electronics manufacturing or a related field with a strong understanding of the processes and standards of the electronic manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and embrace new challenges, demonstrating persistence and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to travel within mainland China and throughout the APAC region (and potentially to our HQ office in Palo Alto, CA!) approximately 10%-20% of the time to support project deployment and customer activities.
  • Work experience demonstrating critical thinking, project management skills, and technical understanding, or a Bachelor's degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) field.
