Associate System Administrator

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company as an Associate System Administrator. In this role, you will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, implement new software and hardware, and assist in developing an overall IT strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience with Windows, macOS Linux desktops and servers
  • Knowledge of OS deployment methods and configuration best practices (endpoint focus)
  • Ability to utilize command-line utilities, event logs, and network tools for basic troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP model, DNS (record types, recursive resolving, caching), DHCP basics, VPNs (OpenVPN configuration specifically), and firewalls
  • Familiarity with common end-user applications and ability to assist with basic tasks under guidance
  • Knowledge of laptop components and common troubleshooting scenarios. Familiarity with office peripherals like printers
  • Experience with corporate antivirus solutions (deployment, configuration, endpoint issue resolution). Experience with a unified endpoint management (UEM) system like Endpoint Central (agent deployment, troubleshooting)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Perform tasks on user workstations under the guidance of Senior System Administrators/System Administrators (SA/SSA)
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues
  • Utilize command-line tools and event logs for problem diagnosis
  • Participate in OS deployments and configuration according to pre-defined procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company systems and applications from an end-user perspective
  • Contribute to endpoint security by ensuring proper antivirus and UEM agent deployment and configuration
