DoorDash is hiring an

Associate, Strategy & Operations - Drive

Toronto, Canada

About the Team

DoorDash Drive is our company’s hypergrowth fulfillment and software platform serving restaurants, grocers, and retailers across the globe. DoorDash Drive allows restaurants, grocers, and retailers to enable ecommerce fulfillment for their first-party experiences.

As part of the Drive Restaurants Strategy & Operations team, the Associate will have the opportunity to help define, test and scale Drive’s most profitable bets.

About the Role

As an Associate for DoorDash Drive's Strategy & Operations team, you will play a critical role in driving our growth and success. Your key value will come from being an expert across our broad set of tools and services that enable merchants to build and grow their ecommerce business: from seamless access to our extensive Dasher logistics, to out-of-the-box online ordering software, and Storefront. Particularly in our Canadian operations, a small but mighty team is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies to acquire new restaurant partners and help them grow once they are on our platform. You will be the centerpiece of the team executing those strategies and will be responsible for hitting KPIs alongside cross-functional teams.

On a typical day, you may work with team members to design experiments that improve quality and catering delivery operations, address issues that enable our and our merchants’ processes run efficiently, or dive into data to explain performance at the lowest level of detail and make sure we never stop growing. The ideal candidate for this role should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take ownership and create plans from scratch, and drive execution while obtaining cross-functional buy-in to achieve DoorDash Drive's strategic goals.

You will report into a Director in our Drive Restaurants Strategy & Operations organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Dive into data, talking to merchants and customers, and obsessing over the details to make sure we create value for our merchants
  • Grow a profitable product within a high-growth business by developing tailored growth/marketing strategies by leveraging DoorDash technology and products
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners from Product, Engineering, Analytical, Support, Business Development and Sales, and Marketing to drive execution and excellence on behalf of our merchant partners and align company-wide resources to make our product even better
  • Analyze complex data sets paired with partner team feedback to provide insights and recommendations to our leadership
  • Steer the scaling and optimization of operations and quality across Drive

We’re excited about you because…

  • You imagine, develop, and execute on workstreams from start to completion with little oversight
  • You are resourceful and can engage other teams and resources to independently figure out answers to nebulous questions
  • You oscillate easily from strategic considerations to tactical execution
  • Are a self-starter who is energized by a difficult problem
  • Have a passion for building
  • You display extreme ownership across every work stream while ruthlessly prioritizing what will actually move the needle
  • You maintain a careful balance between attention to detail and swift execution
  • You operate comfortably in ambiguous environments while maintaining a strong bias for action
  • You communicate precisely dependent on audience and level of detail necessary to share
  • You collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members across the organization
  • You represents the DoorDash brand with humility and a customer-first mindset
  • Experience in a complex or high-growth environment required
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
