Associate Software QA Engineer, Virtual Insurance

Job Overview 

As a QA Engineer at OneDegree, you will be involved in the software testing phase, ensuring our products meet high-quality standards. You will collaborate closely with the development team to conduct functional and performance testing while assisting in improving product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with local and remote teams. 
  • Assist in formulating test plans and testing strategies to ensure comprehensive testing of various aspects of the product. 
  • Design test cases based on requirements analysis and specifications. 
  • Perform manual testing to ensure the proper functioning of software features. 
  • Record and report defects, tracking the progress of defect resolution. 
  • Collaborate closely with developers and other relevant teams to address issues during the testing process. 
  • Participate in various stages of the product development lifecycle, ensuring testing requirements are adequately considered. 
  • Write test reports, clearly describing test results and identified issues. 
  • Maintain relevant testing documents, including test plans, test cases, and test results. 

 

Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, proactive. 
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness. 
  • Good time management skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.  

 

Compensation commensurate with experience.  

 

Interview Process

  • Phone interview with HR. 
  • 1st Onsite interview: 2-hour meeting with Hiring Manager 
    • 20 minutes test - HR sent 
    • 1 hour meeting with hiring Managers 
    • 0.5-hour meeting with HR. 
  • 2nd Interview: 40-minute meeting with HR Head / BU Head
