For our client’s international team in Schaffhausen, we are looking for an Associate Scientist/ Bioprocess Engineer with experience in project management (all genders). In this exciting and versatile position, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Performing the implementation of process analytical technologies for on-line measurements
- Performing 30% R&D project work in the development of new analytical technologies
- Supporting hands-on analytical techniques under GMP for large molecule process development and clinical material testing including HPLC (e.g., size exclusions), bioassays (e.g., immunoblotting), UV-spectrometer, fluorescence detection (involving microscopy and plate-based assays)
- Supporting the fill and finish of drug product for clinical trial supplies
- Handling of samples incl. preparation of reagents and data entry into the lab notebook (ELN)
- Communicating with team members as well as various partners
- Independent data investigation and escalation in case of deviations
For this multifaceted position we are looking for someone with:
- Bachelor or Master studies (Biology, Biotech, Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineer)
- Professional experience (min. 2 years) within a R&D and GMP Biopharmaceutical laboratory
- Professional experience in the production of monoclonal antibodies
- Good knowledge in the regulated area under GMP or ISO 17025 would be beneficial
- Work experience in project management
- Experience with ELN is an advantage
- Experience with automated liquid handling is a plus
- Careful and responsible way of working
- Strong communication and teamwork skills will help you to integrate into a dynamic, international team
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- High motivation, ability to work under pressure, flexibility and reliability
- High level of commitment and enthusiasm
This is a full time permanent position with PHAST (Eurofins PSS), providing services at the client site
