Everbridge, a global provider of critical communications and enterprise safety solutions, are seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to be based anywhere in Hungary. This is a remote/home-based position that can be based anywhere in Hungary.
As a member of the Everbridge Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for both functional and non-functional test coverage, including automated API testing. In this role, you will be embedded in an agile engineering team, where you will drive quality best practices into the application development process.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute manual test plans for new features and regression tests
- Track issues and work with developers to identify root causes
- Build and maintain dashboards and other software quality monitoring solutions
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers on quality tasks
- Examine faults and inefficiencies and identify the true root causes
- Work closely with the Scrum team, PO and PM on user story definition to drive usability, quality and testability aspects
- Work closely with Agile team members to ensure the team's commitments to quality are met
- Generate and analyse test reports
- Test various third-party integrations by using the APIs of the system as well as by building mocks/simulators
- Improve the test automation coverage by utilizing the API capabilities, and work on the integration of automated regression test suites into the CI/CD pipeline
What you'll bring:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Assurance experience
- Strong written, oral and demonstration skills in English
Bonus to have:
- Experience with Agile environment
- Experience with REST API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
- Hands-on scripting experience using Python, JavaScript or similar scripting languages
- Hands-on experience working with multiple teams across the globe
- Quality Assurance experience in an automated testing environment
- Experience in testing mobile applications (both Android & iOS)
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Test Manager
