Purpose of the Job 

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all T-Tech projects are delivered successfully, either through personal management of some projects or through managing other team members to deliver their projects.   This includes all aspects of project management, from pre-sales to project planning and scheduling, execution, and monitoring, as well as ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

Presales 

  • Scheduling resources to complete Pre-Sales opportunities and scheduling meetings to ascertain our clients requirements to deliver proposals in a timely manner. 

Project Planning 

  • Project Scheduling and Allocating Resources 
  • Maintaining calendars for your own Projects and other Project managers, ensuring no scheduling conflicts occur. 
  • Support other Project Managers in portfolio management. 
  • Perform daily project management and related activities on your personal projects including. 
  • Maintenance of project plans 
  • Co-ordination with teams across the business - (Service Desk, Sales and Admin, Professional services, OPS & Platforms, and the Business consultancy teams)  
  • Helping to monitor agreed milestones, budgets, and resources, flagging risks and enforcing change control procedure where appropriate. 
  • Maintaining your own projects by planning, tracking, monitoring project plans to ensure work is delivered on time and to budget. 
  • Assisting with gathering requirements, defining project scope, and identifying key deliverables, goals, and success criteria, with the Project Managers and Project Consultants 

Project Management 

  • Managing your mini projects by: contacting clients, managing expectations, providing regular project reporting and to support clients in the delivery of their own responsibilities within your projects. 
  • Provide regular internal updates and information on project status to allow for prioritisation and future planning. 
  • Support the Project Managers managing on Change Requests 
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in reporting functions to produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. 

Risk Management and Issue Resolution 

  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, working with the team to develop mitigation and contingency plans. 
  • Proactively identify potential roadblocks and develop strategies to overcome them. 
  • Ensure that issues are resolved quickly and effectively to minimise impact on project timelines and deliverables. 

Requirements

Education / Qualifications 

  • Degree educated or qualified by significant experience. 
  • Project Management qualification – eg Prince, PMI or looking to take Project management courses or certifications soon. 

Knowledge and Experience 

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience of working in a similar role supporting projects in an IT infrastructure including working with SME customers and managing projects in a range of industry sectors
