Associate Product Manager, DPS

This Associate Product Manager will be a member of the Value-Added Services division under the Visa Product organization and will be responsible for the continued product development and commercialization of the Visa Data Manager (VDM) products. VDM provides Visa clients access to a best-in-class data warehouse, business analytics and reporting information related to client’s payment transactions and cardholder spending habits.  The team is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and developing new products and services that leverage data and automated communications.  

Reporting into the Product Lead responsible for VDM Product Development and Operations, this role will contribute to developing the VDM product roadmap, priorities and working with our technical partner to establish and groom business requirements and delivery schedules.  This person will also be tasked with working closely with regional product partners, along with other key internal stakeholders across teams and functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Business Requirements:  With assistance from senior staff, develop the detailed business requirements, product specifications and enhancements for the VDM product.

  • Technical Requirements Grooming:  With assistance from senior staff, translate product requirements in collaboration with the VDM technical development team, ensuring features meet business goals.

  • Product Priorities and Roadmap:  Establish and communicate VDM product priorities and roadmap.

  • Product User Acceptance:  Perform UAT testing on newly released functionality

  • Operational Excellence:  Coordinate cross functional groups within Visa (Implementations, Support) to ensure timely management of issues driving operational excellence, and timely reporting data.

  • Go-To-Market Activities: Contribute to the development of go-to-market materials for new functionality and new product launches.

  • Client Activities: Provide analytical insight and assist clients with the execution of their reporting utilizing the VDM tool.

  • Reporting: Create and maintain product performance reporting and statistics such as but not limited to global and regional performance dashboards, end user engagement metrics feature usage dashboards, KPI’s, OKR’s, etc.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience / Bachelor's Degree 
  • 3+ years of prior business/intern experience
  • Analytical or statistical skills with the ability to summarize and find insights from data
  • Payments knowledge is beneficial
  • Agile product management and JIRA knowledge helpful
  • Proven ability to service and support a range of internal and external customers and partners, while maintaining client / stakeholder confidentiality.
  • Good computer skills with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, PowerBI
  • Excellent written and verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Team player that can successfully interact with all levels of management both internally and externally.
  • Sense of humor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels within the Visa organization
  • Able to work independently, and with broad instructions and adapt to a variety of work and projects
  • Comfort with high-level, strategic thinking, including wiliness to be an active and outspoken participant in decision-making

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 74,600.00 to 100,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
