Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ERP Business Analyst and Consultant to join our team as a Presales Consultant based in Tokyo, Japan. This role focuses on strategic collaboration with leading ERP product companies to drive client acquisition and business growth. As a bilingual professional, you will bridge communication gaps by working in both Japanese and English, delivering tailored ERP solutions that address client business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
1. Presales and Solution Design
- Collaborate with internal sales teams and ERP product partners to create tailored ERP solutions for clients.
- Conduct client discovery sessions to understand business processes, pain points, and system requirements.
- Design solution architecture and ERP configurations aligned with client business goals.
- Prepare, present, and demonstrate ERP solutions in Japanese and English, showcasing product capabilities effectively.
2. Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering
- Gather and analyze client business requirements, process flows, and existing system functionality.
- Work with stakeholders to identify gaps and areas for improvement in current business processes.
- Document requirements in Japanese and English to ensure a shared understanding across teams.
3. Translation and Localization
- Translate documents, proposals, presentations, and legal contracts between Japanese and English.
- Ensure translations retain technical and legal accuracy while adapting content for local market needs.
- Incorporate cultural nuances into ERP presentations and proposals to align with client expectations.
4. Collaboration and Partner Management
- Act as a liaison between ERP product partners, internal teams, and clients, ensuring seamless communication in Japanese and English.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ERP product companies to enhance presales efforts.
- Stay updated on new ERP features, product roadmaps, and best practices through collaboration with vendors.
5. Proposal Development and RFP Responses
- Assist in creating bilingual proposals and RFP responses tailored to client requirements.
- Develop compelling business cases and value propositions in both Japanese and English, highlighting ROI and solution benefits.
6. Market and Product Knowledge
- Stay informed on the latest ERP products, trends, and best practices to support client discussions.
- Understand competitors' offerings and articulate the unique value propositions of our ERP solutions in the local market.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field; MBA or relevant ERP certifications preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in ERP consulting, business analysis, or presales roles, preferably in a global or multinational setting.
- Expertise in at least one major ERP platform (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) with strong system configuration knowledge.
- Proven experience in presales, requirements gathering, solution design, and proposal development.
Language Proficiency
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English, with experience translating technical and legal documents.
