As an Associate in Primary Distribution you will be overseeing a multifaceted distribution operation in the UK; encompassing a wide range of tasks and coordinating with third-party logistics to enhance distribution efficiency.<br>1. Builds on Tesco processes and knowledge internally and in the market by applying CI tools and techniques. 2. Responsible for completing tasks within agreed KPIs and ensure seamless functioning of the process. 3. Must have good decision making skills to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and ensure GSCOP polices are not impacting supplier claim investigation. 4. Partner with Risk Assessors in the U.K to ensure legal documents are uploaded and maintained in the database for seamless operations. 5. Accountable for promptly raising vital Purchase Orders in strict accordance with stakeholder directives and ensuring the precise and timely receipt of these POs to guarantee on-time supplier payments. 6. Requires highly analytical thinking for future forecasts in store allocation. It is imperative that we swiftly and decisively determine the range of stores to allocate within a time frame. Failing to do so not only risks unnecessary wastage but also impedes the efficient movement of stock to the respective stores. 7. Playing a pivotal role in the business; accountable for seamlessly and effectively onboarding new drivers; vehicles; sites; and fleet managers onto the Tesco system; ensuring the uninterrupted flow of distribution operations. 8. Accountable for uplifting excessive stock; failure to uplift on time carries the critical risk of incurring stock wastage; with associated financial costs that can significantly impact the business.<br>
