Associate, New Venture Creation in Curative Therapeutics

The role

Our Associates are responsible for driving venture creation end-to-end, from scoping new opportunity areas to recruiting Founders in Residence to managing new venture projects pre-spinout, putting them at the heart of science entrepreneurship.

Requirements

What we're typically looking for (essential):

• Deep understanding of fundamental biology at the molecular, cellular and systems level
• PhD in a biological/medical discipline (ideally translationally-focussed);
• Aptitude for logical problem solving
• Ability to assimilate new information rapidly and apply first principles thinking to novel challenges 
• Creativity 
• Demonstrated interest in scientific innovation
  
  

Other skills we value: 

• Computational expertise and an interest in machine learning tools applied to solve biological problems 
• A working knowledge of venture capital and startup ecosystems 
• An understanding of relevant commercial landscapes
• Project management and/or business development experience
