country. As part of the Payments team, the candidate will get exposure to multiple
categories at PhonePe and will need to develop cross-functional understanding to drive
growth in customers and revenue for PhonePe. The role is fit for someone with strong
business intuition, first principles thinking stakeholder management skills and the ability
to understand complex systems.
Job overview
• Identify product and business growth levers to plan a roadmap for the category,
and drive execution of key initiatives planned
• Collaborate with Business Finance, Product, and Analytics teams to define, track,
and optimize KPIs, ensuring alignment on growth objectives.
• Execute key marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Engage with banks and financial institutions to identify and establish strategic
partnerships that can amplify our market presence
• Drive execution excellence with a customer-first approach to resolve pain
points promptly.
• Design and develop robust reporting mechanisms for leadership reviews,
providing insights that guide strategic planning
• Ability to define and execute on all the above plus operating plans independently
• Leverage analytical skills to effectively size the market potential for our product
line, identifying key trends and customer needs that will drive growth.
• Utilize primary research to compile comprehensive market views, enabling
informed decision-making and strategic positioning.
Preferred background and qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in managing end-to-end categories, preferably at growing
startups
• Ownership of category growth or experience in credit or payments product /
portfolio growth will be a plus
• Understanding of or exposure to payments domain is a good to have
