Associate Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for an Associate Machine Learning Engineer, who will report to the Machine Learning Engineer Manager, be part of our Product Development Analytics Team and work for Experian Trusso product.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and help train a range of Machine Learning models
  • Evaluate the quality of the trained models
  • Productionize newly developed ML models bringing them from an algorithm to a live, cloud-hosted solution
  • Ensure models' performance is correctly monitored and evaluated addressing any identified issues
  • Ensure training data used meets internal standards and identify mitigation steps should those standards are not met
  • Assist our Data Scientists with testing, coding and UX
  • Document parts of the modelling and testing process
  • Ensure automatic deployment of signed-off models in the production environment is in place
  • Investigate complex production issues, recreating problems and using trace files & error diagnostics. Identify cause and propose solutions

What you are expected to bring:

  • 2+ years of working knowledge in Python – preferably both Python's own syntax but also some of its packages (such as Pandas, Numpy, MatplotLib)
  • Knowledge in container-based deployment technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to Linux
  • Knowledge of OOP principles, data structures, algorithms & design patterns
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English)

Any of the following skills will be considered an advantage:

  • Knowledge and appreciation of agile development methodologies and techniques
  • Experience with Apigee for APIs management
  • Experience with automation packages, such as Luigi and make
  • Knowledge of good software development practices (Test-driven Development, Clean Code, Refactoring, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and of measures used for evaluating performance of Machine Learning models, such as precision, recall, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Data Science concepts such as overfitting, cross-validation, test-vs-train split, etc.
  • Experience with DB technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD process development
