The Associate role involves working as a member of the Operations Team, applying research, analysis and Operational skills to assist in the evaluation of the technical risk profile and performance characteristics, of both development and operational infrastructure assets such as renewable power, transmission and distribution, water, logistics, and digital across several Actis geographies. The successful candidate will work within the Operations team leading parts of both Deal Due Diligence and Asset Management support. 

This will encompass gaining exposure to the different phases of the investment life cycle, focused on the active management of all operational risks. 

Main Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive) 

- Scope and analyse the Operations (including technical, management, insurance, etc.) of a potential transaction across sectors and geographies including hiring DD advisors, scoping DD, and managing the overall workstreams and budgets 
- Lead parts of prospective and live transaction process including, due diligence, W&I/PRI negotiation, SPA support on relevant CPs, and Investment Committee memo preparation 
- Own Operational governance on existing and new portfolio companies through different subcommitees and SteerCos and work with management teams to deliver fund objectives  
- Attend industry events and conferences to continuously improve portfolio performance and provide strategic support to CXOs 
- Develop and implement centralized, fund-level thematic efforts to improve portfolio performance such as cybersecurity, upskilling AI/Digital competency at portcos, and implementing auditable operational improvement tracking. 

Knowledge 

Candidates selected for interviews should meet the following criteria: 

- Strong technical and commercial skills, including direct experience of at least one utility scale infra asset 
- Highly organised  and able to manage multiple, complex workstreams simultaneously across geographies and sectors with limited coaching 
- Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills, and project management skills 
- Able to manage laterally, upwards, and externally and influence senior team members and portfolio management teams; must have high EQ and able to change working style to work within regional and cultural norms   
- Associates are expected to be internationally orientated as they will work with colleagues and advisors from our various offices worldwide.
