We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Associate General Counsel who is an experienced commercial contracts attorney and a  subject-matter expert in Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements in the AdTech, Data or Media or Data industries. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing the Deal Desk of our rapidly expanding business and will work in close partnership with the Chief Commercial Officer and their senior management team. You will be expected to creatively solve problems while applying sound business and legal judgment to a wide variety of commercial contracts and relationships.  The position reports to the General Counsel. 
What You Will Do:
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of  commercial contracts, including  master service agreements, SOWs, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, technology and software licenses, and a wide array of other vendor agreements
  • Lead contract negotiations
  • Ensure  contractual compliance with CCPA, GDPR, and other relevant privacy laws.
  • Collaborate closely with the commercial organization and Chief Commercial Officer.

What You Will Need: 

  • Juris Doctor degree from accredited, top-tier law school.
  • 10+ years law firm or a combination of law firm and in-house hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts,
  • Proficient legal experience in in Ad Tech, Media and Data
  • A good working knowledge of the practical application of Privacy laws
  • Experience in closing deals and leading contract negotiation. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an  ability to interact effectively with the commercial team
  • Ability to juggle multiple clients and projects simultaneously and accurately assess their respective priorities
  • A commercial mindset whilst also applying a lawyerly attention to detail
  • This role will be hybrid in our NYC office 2x per week

  • The base pay range for this position is $210,000 - $260,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid and titled depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, length of service, and geographic location.
  • This position is eligible for quarterly bonuses based on specified benchmarks, in accordance with all applicable bonus terms and conditions
