We are looking for an Financial Planning &Analysis professional to own multiple aspects of our financial reporting, headcount management, and support ad hoc analyses across the Finance organization. In this role, you will help shape the future of Finance as we grow and mature as a public company by streamlining manual work and identifying opportunities for process improvement. You’ll collaborate across the Finance team and with cross-functional partners to execute key deliverables and strategic projects on behalf of the CFO, SVP of Finance and other senior leaders, optimizing for efficiency and long-term scale.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Support Toast’s monthly and quarterly financial processes, including analysis of budget vs. actual close results, forecast updates, standard financial and operational reporting, production of exec presentations and Earnings prep
- Own company-wide headcount tracking/reporting, trend analysis and reconciliation activities, partnering with Toast’s Finance and Talent Acquisition teams. Develop & maintain recurring headcount reporting to support our F&S team and business partner needs
- Develop a thorough understanding of Toast’s business and key metrics in order to synthesize trends and communicate risks & opportunities that influence business outcomes
- Leverage Toast’s financial systems, tools and datasets to produce standard reports and analyses, identifying opportunities to enhance insights and increase forecast accuracy
- Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement; Implement automation and standardization to streamline manual work and find synergies across your team
- Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand, research, analyze, and advise on financial processes and reporting
- Able to work 2 pm - 11 pm IST
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

- 2+ years of work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, investment banking, consulting, private equity, business operations or accounting; experience with a CoE or shared services org a plus
- Strong analytical skills including financial modeling, data/trend analysis and manipulation of large datasets, with proven ability to summarize complex data into key takeaways
- Highly proficient in advanced Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides. Working knowledge of SQL or other BI tools a plus
- Experience working with financial systems, such as WorkDay, Adaptive, Greenhouse, NetSuite, Salesforce, Xactly, or other similar products
- Positive attitude with high aptitude to learn new things quickly. Team player eager to further develop and grow with us
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills, and hunger to continually up-level current approaches and processes
- Strong ability to work in a collaborative, diverse, inclusive, and open-minded office environment with a desire to contribute to a thriving culture
