Your Role at impact.com:

As a Associate Engineering Manager you will mentor and lead squad members of the Agile / Scrum team; measure and improve team performance; recruit and evaluate talent; support team manager; assist management with hiring process and new team member training; develop strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals; conduct team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations; design, implement, test, code review and automate deployment of applications onto the Impact Platform; size, spec, organize and deliver functionality as prioritized by Product; provide transparency through daily Scrums, Kanban, or similar; maintain and enforce code quality and ensure best practice is followed within the squad; champion cross squad decisions and best practices; identify, raise and address system vulnerabilities and technology blockers for the squad; collaborate with the Architect(s) and CTO to ensure solutions are scalable and fit within the broader architectural vision; optimize code and streamline processes to improve performance and platform stability and reduce overall system load; perform code quality analysis and introduce monitors and alerts to maintain it; collaborate with the squad and broader team to fulfill the department’s quarterly objectives; ensure squad technology deliverables are aligned with departmental and company goals; assist systems group with software and other infrastructure upgrades; be familiar with and use Java technology stack (Spring, Hibernate, Javascript, Gradle and related technologies) and Cloud Platform and their Services.

Position allows for remote work from home in California, Texas, Washington, or Ohio.

What You Have:

  • Master’s degree in computer science and 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Java Developer, or similar occupations at high-tech SAAS companies.
  • Position requires at least 3 years of experience with:
    • Java; JavaScript; SQL
    • building enterprise applications
    • Implementing blackbox and whitebox testing and complex testing frameworks;
    • Google cloud platform;
    • Agile/Scrum software development methodologies;
    • Influencer Marketing;
    • SaaS platforms.

Salary: $160,000 

*This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
