How You’ll Make a Difference

This position is responsible for assisting in developing and managing the supply chain for Arcellx cell therapy pipeline.  Both a strategic and tactical role, this Associate Director will enhance operational controls, and efficiencies of Arcellx’s entire supply chain to include strategic sourcing, item/material controls, warehousing, and business systems for all Arcellx facilities. Your work will allow us to advance seamlessly and successfully towards getting our transformative cell therapies through clinical trials and to patients who need them most. 

The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do

  • Owns Supply Chain activities related to the sourcing, supply, control, identity, storage and movement of raw materials, work in-process and finished goods.
  • Subject matter expert in all areas of supply, material planning, material management, data management and operational best practices and methodologies.
  • Creation and deployment of strategic sourcing, storage, and control strategies across Technical Operations in close collaboration with our suppliers.
  • Responsible for negotiation and drafting strategic supply agreements.
  • Maintain Supplier Performance Management (scorecards, audits, verification).
  • Maintain the flow of required raw materials to avoid disruptions in production while maintaining optimal stock levels throughout the supply chain from the supplier through warehouses to the manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead, implement, and manage process improvement initiatives and process controls by maintaining open communication with all teams and fostering environment of cooperation in which to achieve shared goals.

Skills and Experience We Look For

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. Cell/gene therapy experience strongly preferred. Candidates with less experience will be considered at the Sr. Manager level.
  • Demonstrated history working through ambiguity in a start-up environment where building while operating is the norm.
  • Strong command of the knowledge and skills needed for success in the role, such as supplier management, sourcing, planning, managing ERP systems, Microsoft applications, etc. 
  • High attention to detail with demonstrated experience in process ownership and compliance. Process improvement and change management experience is required.
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
  • Must act with integrity, be customer-centric and results-oriented.
  • Strong oral and written communications with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

The base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $180,000 per year. Where a candidate falls within that range is determined by factors such as years of experience. Our compensation package also includes an annual bonus based on company goals and an equity (RSU) grant. We do offer relocation assistance for roles if required.
