Position Summary:

Apriori is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director, Program Management to lead and oversee its exploratory and preclinical stage programs. The role will involve strategic oversight and coordination of multiple projects (both for internal and partnered programs), ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and milestones. As our first Program Manager, the successful candidate will not only play a critical role in managing and driving progress on our existing vaccine programs, but will also have the opportunity to develop and implement best practices, tools and methods, eventually building a team as the organization expands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Ensure alignment of project goals with the overall business strategy
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve project milestones, fostering strong collaboration and communication
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Attend project team meetings and record minutes and action items for dissemination to the team and to external partners
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership and internal/ external stakeholders to provide updates on progress, challenges, and achievements
  • Ensure comprehensive and well-organized documentation of program activities
  • Coordinate with finance and project teams to implement and track program budget and forecasts
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including external partners
  • Develop and implement best practices, tools, and methods for effective program management

 

Qualifications:

  • MSc or PhD in Biology or a related field; PMP certification is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in program management within Biotech or Pharma industries
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and software
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of vaccines and vaccine development a plus
