The Associate Director, OOH holds strategic oversight of specific client relationship and is responsible for meeting client expectations. The Associate Director, OOH should be managing their client portfolio in line with the company's vision on a day-to-day basis with their team and be a professional representative for OOH within dentsu. This person identifies opportunities to grow their specific client business and revenue for the agency. The role requires a strong knowledge of client fess and media revenue, as well as strategies to drive diversified revenue. The Associate Director reports to the VP, OOH and will work a flexible hybrid schedule in the Tri-State area.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Verify all plans/buys prior to submission to Planning/Account/Client teams
  • You will seek out solutions to client media objectives
  • Guide team through key opportunities and be supportive of key initiatives
  • Activate innovative ideas that challenge clients and guide team through process
  • Use OOH framework to strategically shape client business solutions – solve business problems, not just satisfy a media brief
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients at all levels
  • You will manage expectations of senior clients and agency deliverables
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships
  • Accurately represent the client's POV when reviewing work, leverage this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client
  • You will represent dentsu within the industry (attend industry functions, join local market committees, etc)
  • Work together with other Agency departments to create a unified approach, with vendors, whom cross disciplines
  • You will be responsible for project management of client initiatives within OOH
  • Represent OOH expertise both internally and externally
  • You will grow business opportunities with current clients
  • Keep current with market research (industry periodicals, email newsletters, websites).
  • Have a hand in shaping immediate team direction to support overall business growth
  • Ensure the team is informed and trained on internal procedures and best practices
  • You will challenge team thinking and present alternative views
  • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.
  • Act as the bridge between the leadership and team ensuring critical decisions are enforced
  • Ability to challenge status quo of leadership and present alternative views
  • Manage, challenge and mentor direct reports to be constantly curious
  • You will recognize client challenges and work with leadership to turn these into opportunities
  • Ensure team is supported through the good and bad, and work with leadership to find solutions
  • Express oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
  • You will lead client presentations

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience in media
  • Support and grow client relationship in collaboration with VP and leadership team
  • Senior relationships with key media owners and stakeholders
  • You have the ability to attract, retain and inspire talent
  • Contribute to thought leadership for client portfolio
  • Assist in shaping direction of client relationship by possessing a holistic view with the ability to always look ahead
  • You have managed in excess of $1.5 MM in revenue
  • Excellent knowledge of media channels with the ability to place OOH at the forefront of pitches
  • You have the ability to sell through diversified revenue

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
