Your Role:

The Associate Director, Medical Research & Value Demonstration (MRVD) is responsible for executing the health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) book of work to demonstrate the value of our products to European payers, policymakers, and healthcare providers for SpringWorks Therapeutics Europe GmbH (“Springworks Therapeutics”). The role also will participate in the shaping of the HEOR book of work and translating learnings into actionable insights for Europe medical strategy. This role will be instrumental in supporting Europe market access, reimbursement, and pricing strategies through robust evidence generation, value demonstration, and communication.

The HEOR book of work includes literature reviews, comparative effectiveness analyses, economic models, global value dossiers, country-specific HTA/reimbursement dossiers, medical payer engagement projects, and real-world evidence generation projects (e.g., claims, charts, electronic health records, survey, patient registry, preference, etc.)

This role will have added operational responsibilities working closely with MRVD leadership and cross-functional team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliant, efficient, and effective management and execution of the HEOR book of work with a primary focus on Europe Health Technology Assessment (HTA) stakeholders to support market access, reimbursement, and pricing of our products
  • Gathers and synthesizes learnings and translates them into actionable insights for Europe medical strategy as well as identifies evidence requirements and gaps to help shape the HEOR book of work
  • Executes global value dossiers (GVDs), HTA submissions, and payer engagement materials; economic models (e.g., cost-effectiveness, budget impact models, comparative effectiveness); and real-world evidence (RWE) generation studies, systematic literature reviews, and meta-analyses
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to generate and disseminate health economic data, including leading or contributing to publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences
  • Monitors and assesses health policy trends, HTA methodologies, and payer evidence requirements across key European markets
  • Engages with external stakeholders, including health authorities, payers, and KOLs, to communicate the economic and clinical value of our products
  • Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on EU HTA Stakeholder evidence needs, reimbursement dossiers, and economic models
  • Support additional MRVD responsibilities as appropriate
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Role Requirements:

  • Education: Advanced scientific degree required (i.e., Masters level or higher) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Health Services Research, Public Health, Epidemiology, Pharmacy Administration, etc.)
  • 5+ years and an advanced scientific degree (i.e., Masters level or higher)
  • Previous biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry experience within health economics and outcomes research, with clinical background or research experience necessary to support global market access is required, preferably in oncology or rare disease
  • Strong knowledge of European healthcare systems, market access environments, reimbursement processes, and HTA methodologies and significant experience with executing HEOR, reimbursement and market access deliverables (e.g., reimbursement dossiers, economic models, comparative effectiveness, objection handlers, global value dossiers, value propositions, value messages, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as a key contributor to multi-departmental, highly cross-functional matrix teams simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effectiveness as a team player; excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy HTA evidence, reimbursement, and market access needs; and broad understanding of European market access and reimbursement landscape
  • Strong understanding of HEOR methods and demonstrated ability to apply these methods in general, but specifically regarding the day-to-day execution of country-specific reimbursement dossiers, global value dossiers, and economic models
  • Market Access experience, including direct experience in making submissions to relevant European payers and interacting with them
  • Strong project management skills including effectively managing multiple competing priorities to completion
  • Knowledge of evidence generation studies (e.g., Compassionate Use, IIR, Collaboration studies, and/or RWD studies)
  • Ability to lead effectively, influence key stakeholders, drive decisions and ensure compliance in a highly cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Critical thinking skills with unique problem-solving abilities for new and novel obstacles
  • Experience taking detailed study results and communicating them in a clear, non-technical manner to internal and external cross-functional teams.
