The Opportunity

We are now seeking a dynamic and results-driven market insights professional to join our team, to cover for maternity leave. Reporting directly to the Head of Vox.Bio and working closely with the entire team, the Associate Director will play a crucial role in driving growth, expanding Vox.Bio’s market presence and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.


Requirements

What You Will Bring To Vox.Bio

  • Degree in Business, Innovation and Technology Management, Marketing, Health or Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in market research or consulting roles on the agency side or in business intelligence, product marketing or product management roles within the Medical Technology, Life Science and/or Digital Health sectors.
  • Exposure, experience or expertise in human-centered design is advantageous.
  • Exposure or experience in Business Development and consultative selling of services to international companies.
  • Experience in using, designing and innovating market research methodologies to ensure high-value and high-quality insights.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and enjoy nurturing a healthy team spirit, both on and off of projects.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly articulate ideas and offer unique solutions to challenges, both verbally and visually.
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment – independently and as part of a team.

What You Will be Doing

Project Management:

  • Ensures realistic resource and cost plan is created, in order to assure project quality throughout delivery.
  • Manages scope actively with the client, together with the Project Lead to support negotiations
  • Oversees project delivery and manages the team to ensure no significant over-burn on project hours, and to promote efficiency within the project team
  • Supports the Head of Vox.Bio to put in place appropriate quality control processes and ensures these are adhered to across the project team
  • Ensures overall quality expectations are communicated, understood and achieved.
  • Drives a team ethos on projects.
  • Monitors communications between the team and the client.
  • Collaborates with clients to understand customer pain points and provide recommendations for product improvements.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in communication style; often taking time to understand the client and their preferred style.
  • Client-orientated, with a commercial mindset and ability to challenge and ensure compelling and actionable narratives are built.
  • Identifies new product and service offerings, through client engagement and a deep understanding of industry challenges

 

Business Development:

  • Oversee pre-sales meetings to understand client needs and be responsible for defining the project plan for proposals and bids.
  • Generates business opportunities and leads proposal development.
  • Identifies and capitalises on new growth segments or customer types, devising execution plans for engagement and conversion.
  • Works collaboratively with division heads, marketing, communications, and the CCO to set and surpass quarterly business targets.
  • Provide support for project delivery, leveraging your expertise to enhance our core offering.
  • Continuously engages with and analyses key business development metrics, as outlined in the business plan.

 

People Development:

  • Formal line management responsibilities for a range of junior to senior roles.
  • Partners with People and Commercial teams to instil a commercial mindset and behavioural change in client engagement.
  • Helps develops training programs to equip the team with business development skills and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to colleagues, setting high standards for performance and professional development.
  • Develops and grows junior talent and challenges people to reach their potential.
  • Recognises team success, in order to build on strengths and boost motivation.

 

Leadership:

  • Participates actively in cross-functional commercial leadership groups, contributing to strategic decision-making and execution.
  • Serves as a visible leader for your direct reports and the entire Vox.Bio team, driving initiatives that transcend existing organisational structures.
  • Acts as a catalyst for positive change, supporting the company's ongoing growth and development.
  • Stays updated on industry news, technological advancements and emerging trends in Pharma, Medical Technology and Digital Health.
  • Attends industry conferences and networks with professionals to gain industry insights.
