The Role
Blackpeak is seeking an Associate Director position to be part of the management team to lead investigative research projects to ensure the successful delivery of projects, manage client relationships, develop new clients, and lead and develop a team of researchers, associates, and senior associates.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a broad range of investigative research projects of due diligence, business intelligence research, and corporate investigations for our clients.
Compile high quality written reports and present findings to clients
Manage overall quality and delivery of work on multiple accounts
Perform project pricing and invoicing, and ensure projects are priced and invoiced effectively to deliver on profit
Foster thriving client relationships and develop new clients proactively
Independently identify prospects and lead business development activities
Constantly seeking innovative ways to improve services we offer to our clients
Manage researchers, associates and senior associates on a day-to-day basis, including motivating and mentoring them to achieve individual and team potential
Provide support in recruitment and development of team member, including conducting interviews, mentoring and training team members
Collaborate effectively with other team members and management
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher
At least 4 years of industry experience in investigative due diligence, business intelligence research and corporate investigations
A solid understanding of the business environment in mainland China and Hong Kong, including the key issues affecting investors
Effective communication and presentation skills – ability to communicate research findings in writing and orally in discussion with clients
Strong people management skills - ability to manage and direct team of internal researchers and work with external consultants
Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and drive the performance of a team
Strong project management skills and methodical approach to work
Excellent abilities to carry out detailed research and analysis via proprietary databases, the internet and human sources
Strong analytical skills, including critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
The ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and manage multiple deadlines under pressure
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese; native or complete fluency in both languages is required
