Essential Job Duties
As an Associate Creative Director at BambooHR, you’ll be responsible for the creative direction for campaigns and initiatives at BambooHR. In this role, you’ll lead a small but mighty team of creatives to develop authentic, expert, and innovative campaign creative and content. Our ideal person is an engaging creative leader with a passion for creating unforgettable brand experiences, strong creator instincts, and natural abilities to inspire creativity.
You will:
- Lead the creative strategy and execution for your assigned marketing program area(s), collaborating closely with a program’s Campaign Managers, Content Strategists, and Channel Owners to deliver high-performing creative solutions.
- Manage and mentor a dedicated team of creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that models the BambooHR values.
- Oversee the development of all creative assets, from advising on the creative briefs, developing initial concept to final delivery, ensuring they are compelling, on brand, and effectively support marketing goals before obtaining final approval from the Campaign Manager
- Provide clear vision, direction, and feedback, ensuring all creative outputs meet high standards of quality and creativity.
- Work alongside senior stakeholders to define project scopes, set deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Present creative concepts and progress to senior management and key stakeholders, articulating creative vision and its alignment with strategic objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating innovative practices and technologies into the creative workflow. With a special focus on building out AI-enhanced creative tools to enable a broader network of creators.
- Work effectively with agency and contract partners as a natural part of the team.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing as needed to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a creative leadership role, with a proven track record in managing creative teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful marketing campaigns and creative projects across various media.
- Must be proficient in the discipline of concepting (communicating concepts in both visual and written form); this may entail deep proficiency in content writing and/or graphic design.
- Working knowledge of cross-functional disciplines to collaborate effectively (web development, video production, and go-to-market motions)
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding a team to excellence.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and familiarity with other design and project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute creatively under tight deadlines.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership skills; the ability to distill insights from discussions and progress through ambiguity to clarity creation for stakeholders and team members
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry experience as evidenced through a creative portfolio of work) in Graphic Design, Creative Copywriting, Video Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
