Job Summary

 

GLG Events provides unique, market-moving insights and perspectives on current events and market trends by leveraging the voices of the world’s leading professionals. We create thousands of live engagements every year - from roundtables and teleconferences to custom workshops and focus groups.

 

We are seeking a Content Creation Associate to conduct research leading into curation and designing of interviews with experts to engage private equity investors on topics of thematic interest. The role entails being able to identify and research compelling market trends and deal flow, and developing relationships with C-level executives, subject matter experts/outside consultants, and internal partners. The role requires a passion for following the private equity deal market, an ability to research and identify and research compelling market trends and deal flow, identifying and shortlisting industry leaders, C-level executives, and subject matter experts to discern which experts are best to address a specific theme or topic. The Associate will be responsible for growing GLG’s Content by generating and moderating a pipeline of high-quality interviews with experts that effectively elicit insights across a wide variety of topics of interest to the private equity investor market.

 

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop understanding of private equity investment strategies and learn how to research deal flow and market trends that are driving thematic research of our clients
  • “Connect the dots” between deal flow, client priorities, and market trends to build events based on these topics
  • Search for, vet, and maintain relationships with former executive speakers, regulators, and subject matter experts/consultants across sectors of interest to our clients to interview on pertinent topics in event formats
  • Draft compelling marketing materials to highlight the interviewee and subject matter to be utilized both internally to business development/client service teams and directly to GLG clients
  • Moderate conversations with former executives to deliver high quality, in-depth conversations for transcription for GLG’s Library
  • Partner closely with the Americas (or EMEA) Events teams focusing on private equity clients, join editorial meetings, and collaborate on topics
  • Demonstrate sound editorial judgement by selecting current and relevant event topics and speakers for conversations that clients find relevant, compelling, and valuable
  • Execute internal deliverables that include fleshed out research themes, expert profiles, marketing documents, project case files and high-level questionnaires
  • Execute GLG’s user-focused event strategy, building our portfolio of exclusive Library content and ensuring all content meets GLG’s high quality and compliance standards

 

An ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Up to 2 years of related experience in private equity investing, research, journalism, or content
  • Ability to work across one of our two programs – EMEA (10:30AM-7:30PM IST) or Americas (1:00-10:00PM IST)
  • The ability to identify and build topics based on an understanding of how private equity investors work and think
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills including copy-editing and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and being a team player are key
  • Be self-motivated while nurturing mutual success and camaraderie, resulting in a high performing team
  • Must be able to collaborate across regional teams, be effective in a remote working environment, and be adaptable
  • Possess an entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit
  • Ability to manage a large volume of content projects
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
