Playground Games is looking to grow its world class team with the addition of a skilled and experienced Associate Community Developer on a contract basis.  

As part of the Horizon team, you’ll be a key voice in building a relationship with the community.

About the role: 

A crucial part of your role will be to work with the Senior Community Developer, the Community Team, the Production Team and a variety of stakeholders while keeping players informed of the latest updates as well as supporting the Community Strategy. Your ability to communicate with an official and professional voice will be integral in maintaining a good working relationship with our players. 

This is a contract role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.   

What you’ll do: 

  • Support Comms and Community Team by gathering, elaborating and presenting accurate key product information useful to communicate the latest updates to our players 
  • Monitor and Interact with our players on different platforms (Reddit, Discord, Forza Forums) to be on top of Community Feedback 
  • Produce Qualitative and Quantitative Community Sentiment reports to different stakeholders 
  • Open, track, prioritise and follow up on game-related bugs and technical issues experienced by our players to maintain the game's health 

What you’ll bring: 

  • A passion for games
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to provide front-line technical support to players and spot trends in community feedback
  • Proficiency in gathering, analysing and presenting community feedback both quantitatively and qualitatively
  • Previous experience in a software community-facing role. Knowledge of post release game support
  • Good understanding or experience of Social Media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok) and Discussion platforms (Reddit, Discord, Forums) 
  • Good understanding or experience of key video platforms including YouTube, and Twitch
