W Costa Navarino is looking for an Assistant Welcome Desk Manager. The selected candidate will support efficient front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and positive guest experience from check-in to check-out. This role involves making guests feel welcomed and valued, addressing their needs promptly, and maintaining high service standards. The Assistant Welcome Desk Manager will play a key role in resolving issues, upholding quality, and acting as a bridge between guests and hotel services to enhance guest satisfaction and foster loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day activities at the welcome desk, including handling reservations, billing, and guest communications
  • Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling front desk employees, providing guidance and monitoring performance
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs and ensure seamless service
  • Provide feedback to management on guest experiences, employee performance, and any operational challenges
  • Respond to special requests, such as room upgrades or specific accommodations
  • Monitor and report on upsell performance, adjusting strategies based on guest interest and feedback
  • Coordinate logistics for group check-ins, to ensure a smooth arrival and departure

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a hotel environment
  • Hospitality degree or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent command of the English language; additional languages are a plus
  • Proficient in Opera PMS (Property Management System) is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Marriott platforms and systems is highly desirable
  • In-depth understanding of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program is highly desirable
  • Skilled in delegating tasks effectively, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Attentive to special guest requests, preferences, and changes in bookings or service needs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, guest requests, and administrative responsibilities simultaneously
