Assistant Technical Director (ATD)

The ATD may perform a diverse series of technical support and engineering functions in order to ensure the smooth running of our film visual effects projects.

Responsibilities:

Supporting or troubleshooting the pipeline and workflow tools
Providing in-person technical assistance to people in creative departments
Managing data on a large networked file system
Creating tools for artists and to improve workflow

Requirements

Essential Skills:
A degree in Computer Science, Digital Art or a similar related field
Experience with a variety of commercial graphics applications such as Maya and Nuke
A good knowledge of Python
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
The ability to work well in a collaborative environment

Desirable Skills:
Previous experience of shell scripting
A good knowledge of Linux and Unix
Previous experience in visual effects, CG animation or video game production
