What we’re looking for...

AG Barr are looking for an Assistant Team Leader to manage, lead and motivate site operational teams during the period of the shift, ensuring that site requirements of production volumes to the required quality standards are met, in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

The Assistant Team Leader is part of a team of Technical Operators operating on a shift basis, reporting to the Manufacturing Team Leaders in the day to day production and deputising certain duties in the absence of a Manufacturing Team Leader.

Your responsibilities will include...

As Assistant Team Leader your responsibilities will include;

  • Leading, motivating and developing your team, to ensure planned output requirements and quality  standards are met whilst ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Support with absence return to work interviews and holiday planning (inc updating holiday tracker and crewing sheets)
  • Achieve shift KPI targets for line efficiencies, material usage variances.
  • Support and cover line staff shortages as and when required.
  • Develop team working across the factory applying continuous improvement principles.
  • Accurately complete all required shift documentation for compliance against  BRC, ISO and site specific quality standards.
  • Ensure regular communication and briefings to provide the team with the relevant information to carry out their shift to maximum effect.
  • Contribute to the planning, organisation, operation and installation of all new processes and equipment within the factory.
  • Carry out site inspections and audits upon request.

What you’ll bring...

The successful candidate will have;

  • Proven track record in a production capacity, preferably with the relevant filling and packaging line experience. 
  • Able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Ability to learn quickly, and to work using your own initiative.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Computer literate to intermediate level
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, HACCP).
