World Relief is seeking an Assistant Resettlement Manager to assist the Initial Resettlement Manager in providing supervision and management for programs serving newly arrived refugees with the intent to ensure program participants reach a place of stability and move towards healthy integration. This position will include a focus on budget management of the Resettlement & Placement (R&P) program as well as quality control components including case note review, case file review, and ensuring core services are performed in a timely manner. This will be a 90-day temporary position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the delivery of core resettlement services in compliance with grant and program requirements for the Reception and Placement (R&P), Matching Grant (MG), and Refugee Social Services (RSS) programs
  • Collaborate with the Initial Resettlement Manager to regularly evaluate initial resettlement program operations and systems to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service provision
  • Monitor program expenses and assign individual expenses to the appropriate allocation
  • In conjunction with Finance staff, monitor program budgets to ensure expenses do not exceed income
  • Perform regular review and quality control to ensure electronic case files, client notes, and services are timely, accurate, thorough, and in compliance with R&P, MG, and RSS guidelines
  • In collaboration with the Initial Resettlement Manager and volunteer mobilization staff, support preparations for incoming refugee families, including the provision of housing, furniture, household items, interpreters, and airport pick-up assistance
  • Assist the Initial Resettlement Manager in obtaining beneficiary and community feedback on initial resettlement service provisions and use that feedback to adjust service provision as appropriate
  • Collaborate with other program staff to monitor client progress, adjust case plans, and effectively address program participant needs
  • Provide direct service support, as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Prior experience working within the R&P program

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
 
·         General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.
·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.
·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
·         Physical, emotional and intellectual demands
