Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice (Onsite) - PharmD - University of Findlay

Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the Doctor of Pharmacy program in both on campus and distance pathways. Instructional topics in our team-based integrated PharmD curriculum may include gastrointestinal, endocrine, immunologic diseases, neurologic, psychiatric, and hematology/oncology pharmacotherapy, and various topics within pharmacy practice skills labs and introductory pharmacy practice courses. The college is seeking candidates with varied practice backgrounds, including inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Other teaching responsibilities, including course coordination for team-taught courses, may be assigned based on departmental needs and instructor interest or expertise. Scholarly activity and service to the College and University consistent with a teaching-focused institution are also expected.

Candidates should possess a doctorate degree and have completed a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency (or equivalent experience). Individuals with experience in direct patient care are preferred. Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the state of Ohio is required and licensure is expected within the first six months of employment. Continued practice in the field of pharmacy is encouraged and expected. Qualified candidates should possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, and be dedicated to student-centered education and innovative practice.
